About the Campaign

A school uniform is more than just fabric — it represents equality, unity, and self-respect. For many children at Aadarsh Foundation, wearing a clean, well-fitted uniform is a dream they cherish deeply. It gives them a sense of belonging and confidence as they walk into school each day with pride.

Unfortunately, hundreds of students come from families who cannot afford even basic clothing, let alone school uniforms. The “वस्त्रदान – Dress for Dignity” campaign is an initiative to ensure that every child studying under Aadarsh Foundation receives free uniforms and footwear, so that financial hardship never becomes a barrier to dignity or learning.

To promote equality and self-esteem among students by providing free uniforms, shoes, and essential clothing to every child enrolled in our schools.

Why Uniforms Matter

Uniforms create a sense of unity and belonging - they remove visible differences of economic status, allowing children to focus on learning rather than comparison. A simple set of clothes can change how a child perceives themselves and how confidently they participate in school activities.

For children from low-income families, receiving a uniform isn’t just about attire - it’s about restoring confidence, dignity, and a sense of equality.

How Your Donation Helps

Your contribution can make an immediate, visible difference.
Here’s how your support is utilized:

₹700 helps provide one complete school uniform (shirt, pant/skirt, belt, and tie).
₹1,000 provides a uniform set with shoes and socks.
₹5,000 supports five children with full-year clothing essentials.

Funds also go toward stitching, tailoring, and fabric costs, ensuring each uniform fits comfortably and is made to last.

Our Process

Every year, our volunteers and local partners identify students in need. The uniforms are stitched by local tailors, helping generate livelihood within the community as well. Each child receives their new uniform on Aadarsh Foundation’s Annual “Dress for Dignity” Day, a celebration filled with joy, pride, and gratitude.
